Some things we have been doing at Brook Eden over the summer.
Veraison is now well advanced. Here is what the Pinot Noir looks like.
And again, the Pinot Noir a little more advanced.
The wetland looks very inviting during summer.
So much so, that we refurbished an old dinghy for puttering around in it. We have named her Red Dog.
We have started clearing the blackberry around the wetland.
And around the blackwood trees.
This let's us get close to the water behind the wetland.
We have also cleared the blackberry from the old stock watering system, and we are getting this working again.
Still working on clearing the old stockyards. I found a bathtub!
We have some large white gums on the property. This one dropped a limb during a recent storm.
Cutting up the fallen debris.
We have also refurbished an old driveway along the top of the Pinot Noir Block.
That's our fertigation system in the foreground.
Ed has started building a wall along the driveway.
The fence above our little rock wall is new. It has been put there to keep our dogs contained around the house when people visit the cellar door.
And we have replaced the irrigation pump with a larger diesel pump.
