An interesting article on wine shows, https://www.lifehacker.com.au/2015/09/do-medals-matter-deciphering-wine-awards the comments are worth reading.
Whist Brook Eden does have its share of medals, my advice is to taste the wine for yourself.
In the past, a good way to choose a wine was to taste varieties from various winemaking regions and decide what you like. So, if you liked one Cabernet Sauvignon from the King Valley, it would be worth trying a few others from that region. These days things are a little more difficult, since large winemakers source grapes from a number of regions and do not necessarily provide full provenance information on the label. With smaller producers you are more likely to actually taste wine from one region.
At Brook Eden we make wine from Tasmania. Our labels will always tell you what goes into the wine. Our Pinot Noir is 100% Pinot Noir.
